Manifestation / Demonstration in Berlin

Manifestation pour protester contre les contrats actuels de migration et d’expulsion entre l’UE et des nombreux gouvernements africaines (et d’autres gouvernements).  Demonstration on the 9th of june, where we want to demonstrate against the current deportation and migration agreements between the EU and several African and other governments.

Hallo, das transantionale Netzwerk Afrique-Europe-Interact möchte am 9. Juni eine Demonstration gegen die derzeitigen Abschiebe- und Migrationsabkommen zwischen der EU und zahlreichen afrikanischen (und anderen) Regierungen machen. Dafür möchten wir euch ganz herzlich zu einem Vorbereitungstreffen einladen:

Zeit: Dienstag, 17. Mai, 17:00 Uhr. Ort: Mehringhof (Gneisenaustraße 2A)

Noch nicht einmal ein Jahr liegen die wunderbaren Bilder zurück, als hundertausende Geflüchtete das europäische Grenzregime für einige Monate buchstäblich zum Einsturz gebracht haben. Seitdem hat sich die Situation jedoch dramatisch zugespitzt: Nicht nur, weil die Balkanroute weitgehend blockiert ist und die EU mit der Türkei ihren zynischen Deal abgeschlossen hat (Flüchtlingsabwehr gegen freie Hand bei der Bekämpfung der kurdischen Bevölkerung). Nein, auch zahlreiche afrikanische Länder werden durch die EU und die deutsche Bundesregierung massiv unter Druck gesetzt – vor allem als Folge des Valetta-Gipfels im November 2015, als sich die EU und zahlreiche Staats- und Regierungschefs aus Afrika auf Malta getroffen haben. Entsprechend möchte Deutschland die nordafrikanischen Länder Tunesien, Marokko und Algerien zu sicheren Herkunftsländern erklären, zudem wurden mit diesen Ländern Abschiebeabkommen vereinbart. In gleicher Weise werden derzeit am Fließband Abkommen mit diversen Ländern in Subsahara-Afrika geschlossen, die alle das Ziel haben, Migration zu verhindern und Abschiebungen zu erleichtern. Betroffen sind alle Länder, die irgendetwas mit Migration zu tun haben, so auch der Niger, wo in Agadez (einem zentralen Knotenpunkt für zehntausende Geflüchtete und Migrant_innen) mit EU-Geldern eine Art Auffangzentrum für Migrant_innen errichtet wurde. Schlimmer noch: In ihren aktuellen Bemühungen macht die EU noch nicht einmal Halt vor Diktaturen wie Eritrea und Sudan. Auch hier wird im Rahmen des so genannten Karthoum-Prozesses versucht, migrationspolitisch zusammenzuarbeiten, unabhängig davon, dass zum Beispiel der sudanesische Präsident Ahmad al-Baschir als Kriegsverbrecher vom Internationalen Kriegsverbrecher-Tribunal in Den Haag gesucht wird.

Das transnationale Netzwerk Afrique-Europe-Interact ruft deshalb am 9. Juni ab 12 Uhr zu einer Doppeldemonstration in Berlin auf: Zwischen 12 und 15.30 Uhr wollen wir vor zwei Botschaften demonstrieren, um gegen jede Form von Kollaboration afrikanischer Regierungen mit der EU zu protestieren (unter anderem vor der tunesischen Botschaft). Ab 16.30 soll es eine Demo vom Innenministerium über das Bundeskanzleramt zur Europäischen Kommission am Brandenburger Tor mit langer Abschlusskundgebung geben. Auch wenn sich Afrique-Europe-Interact in erster Linie auf afrikanische Länder bezieht, sind zu dem Aktionstag natürlich ALLE Geflüchtete eingeladen – egal, aus welchem Land!!!

Was den Termin und die thematische Ausrichtung betrifft, mussten wir uns als kleines überregionales Netzwerk bereits verständigen (da viele von uns gar nicht in Berlin wohnen). Ansonsten sind aber noch zahlreiche Fragen offen: Einerseits, welches die zweite Botschaft neben Tunesien sein soll. Andererseits sind Redebeiträge oder andere Performances zu den verschiedenen Themen bzw. Ländern sehr willkommen! Und natürlich kann die Aktion auch noch in andere Richtungen weiterentwickelt werden, das hängt am Ende von den Kapazitäten aller Beteiligten ab.

Schließlich: Am Abend vor der Demo wird Afrique-Europe-Inteact zusammen mit AfricAvenir eine Veranstaltung zu der Aktion machen. An dieser Veranstaltung wird auch Ousmane Diarra von der Assoziation der Abgeschobenen Malis aus Bamako teilnehmen.

Bonjour. Le 9 juin 2016 le Reseau Transnationale Afrique-Europe-Interact voudrait faire une manifestation pour protester contre les contrats actuels de migration et d’expulsion entre l’UE et des nombreux gouvernements africaines (et d’autres gouvernements). Pour cela nous voudrions vous inviter cordialement de participer à un rencontre preparatoire.

La date: 17 mai (mardi), 17:30h. L’endroit: Mehringhof (Gneisenaustraße 2A)

Les images formidables sont seulement un an en arrière quand des centaines des milliers de refugié-e-s ont literallement font tomber le regime migratoire européen pour plusieurs mois.

Depuis cette periode la situation s’est aggravée de facon dramatique: Pas seulement par rapport à la bloquade quasiment totale de la route du Balkan et le coup cynique entre l’UE et la Turquie (repousser les refugié-e-s pour le prix de la liberté totale d’attaquer la population curde). Mais aussi des nombreux pays africains sont mis sous pression surtout suite au sommet de Valette/Malte en novembre 2015, un rencontre entre l’UE et des président-e-s africain-e-s. Dans ce cadre l’Allemagne a declaré que les pays de l’Afrique du Nord, comme la Tunisie, le Maroc et l’Algerie devraient être declarés comme les pays d’origine sûrs. En plus les contrats d’expulsion ont été convenus. De la même manière des contrats sont conlcus, en ce moment, par l’UE avec des pays divers en Afrique subsaharienne, tout ca avec le but de empêcher la migration et de faciliter les expulsions. Les pays concernés sont ceux où la migration joue un rôle important comme à Niger où à Agadez (un carrefour central pour des dizaines des milles de refugié-e-s et migrant-e-s) un centre pour arrêter les migrant-e-s était installé par des finances de l’UE. Et encore plus pire: Dans leurs démarches actuelles l’UE n’arrête même pas devant la porte des dictatures comme l’Eritrée et le Sudan. Même ici les pays européens essaient, dans le cadre de soi-disant procès de Karthoum, de travailler ensemble au niveau de la politique migratoire, independamment du fait que par exemple le president sudanaise Ahmad al-Baschir est cherché comme un criminel de guerre par le Tribunal Internationale des crimes de guerre à Den Haag.

Pour toutes ces raisons le reseau Afrique-Europe-Interact appelle à participer dans une chaîne de manifs. De 12h à 15.30h nous voulons manifester devant deux ambassades pour protester contre toutes formes de collaboration entre l’UE et les gouvernements africaines ou d’autres gouvernements (le plan d’aller devant l’ambassade tunisienne est déjà fixé). À partir de 16.30h une manif va commencer devant le ministère de l’intérieure, pour aller via la chancellerie féderale jusqu’à la comission europénne à côté de la Brandenburger Tor en terminant avec une manifestation finale avec plusieurs interventions. Et: L’Afrique-Europe-Interact est occupé en particuler avec les pays africains, mais bien sûr tout-e-s les réfugié-e-s sont invite-e-s de particper, n’importe de quel pays!!!
Concernant la date et la thématique principale nous avons déjà pris une certaine décicision (parce que nous sommes un petit reseau transrégionale dont la majorité des participant-e-s n’habitent pas à Berlin). Mais sauf ca beaucoup de choses sont encore ouvertes! Entre autres la décision quelle deuxième ambassade on veut viser. En plus, des discours et des interventions artistiques sur les thèmes et pays concernés sont très bien venués! Et bien sûr l’action peut être développée dans d’autres directions aussi, ce dépend à la fin aux capacités des toutes les personnes impliquées.

Pour ne pas oublier: Il y aura aussi une conférence-débat le 8 juin à 19h à Haus der Demokratie qui va accompagner cette activité aussi (organisé par AEI en collaboration avec Africavenir). Pendant cette soirée Ousmane Diarra de l’Association Malienne des Expulsés (AME) de Bamako va être notre partcipant de l’exterieur.

Hello, the transnational network Afrique-Europe-Interact wants to invite you kindly to a preparation meeting for a demonstration on the 9th of june, where we want to demonstrate against the current deportation and migration agreements between the EU and several African and other governments:  

Time: Tuesday, 17th of May, 5:30 pm. Place: Mehringhof (Gneisenaustraße 2A)

The wonderful pictures, when hundreds of thousands of refugees have literally brought down the European border regime for several months are not even a year old. But since then the situation has dramatically become worse: Not only, because the Balkan route is blocked to the greatest extent possible and the EU has negotiated their cynical deal with Turkey (defence against refugees versus free rein to combat the Kurdish population). No, also numerous African countries are put under extreme pressure by the EU and the German government – especially as a result of the Valetta-summit in november 2015, when the EU and several heads of state and governments from Africa have met in Malta. Accordingly Germany wants to declaire Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria to be safe countries of origin; in addition deportation agreements were made with these countries. Similarly treaties are made at the moment with different countries in Sub-Saharan Africa like on an assembly line, which all have the aim to prevent migration and facilitate deportations. Concerned are all countries, which have in one way or the other to do with migration, for example Niger, where in Agadez (a central intersection for tens of thousands of refugees and migrants) with money from the EU a kind of reception center for migrants was built. Even worse: In their current efforts the EU does not even stop at dictatorships like Eritrea and Sudan. Also here efforts are made in the course of the so-called Karthoum-process to work together in terms of migration politics, independently from the fact that for example the Sudanese president Ahmad al-Baschir is sought as a war criminal by the International War Crimes Tribunal in Den Haag.

Therefore the transnational network Afrique-Europe-Interact calls on the 9th of june at 12 o clock for a double demonstration in Berlin: Between 12 o’clock and  3.30 p.m. we want to demonstrate in front of two embassies in order to protest against any form of collaboration of African governments with the EU (among them the Tunisian embassy). Starting at 4.30 p.m. there shall be a demo from the Ministry of the Interior along the Federal Chancellery to the European Commission at the Brandenburger Tor with a long closing ralley. Even if Afrique-Europe-Interact is predominantly occupied with african countries, of course all refugees are welcome to participate in the demonstration, no matter from which country they are coming!!!
Because we are a small supraregional network (with many of us not living in Berlin) we had to already agree on the date and the thematic focus. But apart from that many questions are still open: On the one hand side which shall be the second embassy besides Tunisia. On the other hand speeches or other performances adressing the different topics respective countries are very welcome! And of course the action can be  developped in other directions; in the end this will depend on the capacities of all the involved.

Finally: On the evening before the demo Afrique-Europe-Interact is going to organize a discussion event together with AfricAvenir on the topic of the Action. At this event among others Ousmane Diarra from the Association of Deportees in Mali from Bamako will participate.
